Hudson Valley Research Lab participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide websites with a way to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and other Amazon-affiliated websites.
We may also participate in other affiliate programs offered by trusted retailers and direct-to-consumer brands in the indoor growing, composting, and sustainable home technology industries.
This means that when you click an affiliate link on our website and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. The price you pay remains the same whether you use our affiliate links or visit the retailer directly.
How Affiliate Commissions Support Our Work
Affiliate commissions help support the ongoing operation and maintenance of Hudson Valley Research Lab. Depending on our testing and research needs, this may include purchasing replacement carbon filters, soil testing supplies, calibration standards, laboratory materials, measurement equipment, and products used in our evaluations.
These commissions also help cover the time and resources required to research products, assess their performance, document findings, and maintain our published content.
Our Editorial Independence
Our editorial decisions are not determined by affiliate commissions. We do not accept payment in exchange for positive reviews or favorable product recommendations.
Affiliate relationships do not guarantee that a product will be reviewed, recommended, or ranked favorably. Our evaluations aim to consider practical performance, product specifications, usability, maintenance requirements, and other factors relevant to everyday ownership.
When we identify limitations, performance concerns, or potential drawbacks, we aim to communicate them clearly so readers can make informed purchasing decisions.
Our priority is to provide useful, honest, and transparent information. Affiliate links help support our work, but our responsibility to our readers comes first.
